Symptoms

• Incorrect gear shifting
• Delays when shifting gears
• The gearbox goes into emergency mode
• Check Engine light comes on
• Certain programs are not included

Causes

• Open or short circuit in fork position sensor B circuit
• Shift fork position sensor malfunction
• Poor contact in circuit connectors
• Wiring harness damage
• Malfunction of the transmission control unit

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the wiring harness to the fork position sensor B
2. Check the contacts in the sensor circuit connectors
3. Check resistance of fork position sensor B
4. Replace the fork position sensor if necessary
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the transmission control unit
