Causes

  • Open or short circuit in plug control circuit E
  • Malfunction of the fork control solenoid valve
  • Mechanical sticking of the shift fork
  • Transmission control module (TCM) problems
  • Corrosion or poor contact in connectors

How to Fix

  1. Check the condition of the plug control circuit wiring harness E
  2. Check resistance and operation of fork solenoid valve E
  3. Inspect the mechanical condition of the fork and related gears
  4. Check the power and ground of the control circuit
  5. If necessary, replace faulty components
