Symptoms

  • Low oil pressure (may be displayed on the dashboard)
  • The engine runs rough

Causes

  • Oil pressure sensor "C" is faulty
  • Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
  • Poor contact in the sensor connector
  • ECU malfunction (rare)
  • Low engine oil level

How to Fix

  1. Check the engine oil level and add if necessary.
  2. Check the oil pressure sensor "C" wiring and connectors for damage.
  3. Check oil pressure sensor "C" using a multimeter.
  4. Replace the oil pressure sensor "C" if it is faulty.
  5. Check the ECU for faults (rare).
