Symptoms

Causes

• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Intermediate shaft position sensor malfunction
• Poor contact in the sensor connector
• Engine control unit malfunction
• Mechanical damage to the intermediate shaft

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the sensor wiring and connectors
2. Check sensor resistance and reference voltage
3. Replace the intermediate shaft position sensor if necessary
4. Check connections to engine control unit
5. Carry out diagnostics of the mechanical part of the intermediate shaft
