Causes

  • Faulty camshaft drive temperature sensor
  • Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
  • Poor contact in the sensor connector

  • VVT solenoid valve problems

How to Fix

  1. Check the level and condition of the engine oil
  2. Inspect the wiring harness and sensor connector for damage.
  3. Check the resistance and signal of the temperature sensor
  4. Replace camshaft drive temperature sensor if necessary
  5. Clean or replace VVT solenoid valve if dirty
