Symptoms

• Check Engine or other warning lights
• Loss of communication between ECUs
• Incorrect operation of various vehicle systems (for example, ABS, ESP)
• Difficulty starting the engine
• Storing fault codes in various ECUs

Causes

• Short circuit in communication bus wiring E
• Damage to communication bus connectors E
• Malfunction of one of the ECUs connected to the communication bus E
• Corrosion or oxidation of contacts in connectors
• Mechanical damage to the wiring harness

How to Fix

1. Check the E bus wiring and connectors for damage and short circuits.
2. Check the resistance between wires (-) and (+) of communication bus E
3. Disconnect the computers connected to the E communication bus one by one to identify the faulty unit
4. Replace damaged wiring or connectors
5. Replace the faulty ECU
