Symptoms
- Check Engine Light Is On
- The ESP/ABS indicator may come on
- Disabling the stabilization system
- Incorrect operation of the stability control system
- Possible problems with cruise control
Causes
- Yaw rate sensor malfunction
- Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
- Poor contact in the sensor connector
- Wiring harness damage
- Stability control ECU malfunction
How to Fix
- Check the integrity of the wiring harness to the sensor
- Inspect and clean the sensor connector contacts
- Check the power supply and ground of the sensor
- Scan the sensor for faults
- If necessary, replace the yaw rate sensor
