Symptoms

• Interior lighting does not work when door E is opened
• The central lock does not respond to opening/closing door E
• The malfunction indicator light is on on the dashboard
• The system does not warn about an open door E

Causes

• Open or short circuit in door switch E circuit
• The door switch itself is faulty
• Problems with the wiring harness in the door
• Contact corrosion
• Control unit malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the continuity of the door switch E circuit
2. Test and replace the door switch if necessary
3. Inspect the wiring harness in the door for damage.
4. Clean contacts from corrosion
5. Check and update the control unit software
