🔴 HighSymptoms
- The passive safety system fault lamp (SRS/Airbag) is on or flashing.

- The seat belt pretensioner does not operate during testing (diagnosis)
Causes
- Open or poor contact in the pretensioner wiring harness
- Faulty belt pretensioner squib
- Short circuit to ground or to power
- Malfunction of the SRS control unit itself
- Corroded or damaged electrical connectors
How to Fix
- Conduct a visual inspection of the wiring harness and connectors for damage and corrosion.
- Check the resistance and continuity of the pretensioner squib circuit using a multimeter
- If a break or short circuit is detected, repair or replace the damaged section of the harness
- If the squib is faulty, replace the seat belt pretensioner assembly.
