- Extraneous noise from the motor
Causes
- Open or short circuit in wiring harness
- Faulty fan relay
- Blown fuse
- Fan motor wear
- Problems with contacts in connectors
- Faulty control button or resistor
How to Fix
- Check the fuse corresponding to the fan circuit
- Make sure the fan relay is working properly
- Check the power at the motor connector with the ignition on
- Check the motor itself by applying power directly
- Visually inspect the wiring harness for damage.
- Check the operation of the control button and additional resistor (if any)
- Replace fan motor or circuit components as necessary
