Symptoms

• ABS light is on
• Reduced effectiveness of ABS on the right front wheel
• Unusual sounds when ABS is activated

Causes

• ABS hydraulic valve is dirty or stuck
• Low brake fluid level
• Brake fluid contamination
• ABS module malfunction
• Problems with the wiring harness or contacts to the valve

How to Fix

1. Check the level and condition of the brake fluid
2. Diagnose the ABS module with a scanner
3. Check resistance and power supply of ABS solenoid
4. If necessary, replace the faulty ABS valve/module
5. Bleed the brake system
