Causes

Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
Oxidation of contacts in connectors
Side accelerometer malfunction
Wiring harness damage
SRS control unit malfunction

How to Fix

Conduct a visual inspection of the wiring harness and connectors
Check the resistance and continuity of the sensor circuit
Check the power supply and ground of the sensor
If necessary, replace the side accelerometer
Clear error codes and check if error is returned
