Symptoms

• ABS/ESP indicator is on
• Unstable operation of the ABS system
• Disabling cruise control
• Incorrect speedometer readings

Causes

• Malfunction of the right front wheel speed sensor
• Open or short circuit in wiring harness
• Damage to the sensor connector
• Problems with the ABS/ESP control unit
• Mechanical damage (for example, damage to the ring gear)

How to Fix

1. Check the integrity of the sensor wiring harness
2. Inspect the sensor connectors for corrosion or damage.
3. Check the resistance of the wheel speed sensor (compare with reference values)
4. Check for metal shavings on the sensor (may indicate damage to the ring gear)
5. If necessary, replace the wheel speed sensor or wiring harness.
6. Reset the error and check if it returns
