Symptoms

• The ABS indicator on the dashboard is on
• The ABS system may not work correctly

Causes

• Calibration failed after replacing unsigned ABS unit
• ABS pump motor malfunction
• Problems with the wiring harness to the ABS pump
• ABS control unit malfunction

How to Fix

1. Diagnose the ABS system using a scanner
2. Perform the ABS pump calibration procedure (if equipped)
3. Check the integrity of the 1200 wires to the pump
4. Make sure the pump motor and ABS control unit are in good condition.
5. If necessary, replace faulty components
