Symptoms

• Parking brake fault indicator is on
• The parking brake does not engage/disengage on the right side
• Reduced braking performance
• Warning messages on the dashboard

Causes

• Open or short circuit in wiring harness
• Malfunction of the right parking brake actuator
• Problems with the EPB control unit
• Oxidation or poor contact in connectors
• Blown control circuit fuse

How to Fix

1. Carry out diagnostics with a scanner to confirm the code
2. Visually inspect the wiring harness and connectors of the right actuator
3. Check resistance and continuity of control circuit
4. Check the voltage on the actuator
5. If necessary, replace the faulty actuator or repair the harness
6. Clear error codes and check system functionality
