Symptoms

• Unstable engine operation at idle
• Increased fuel consumption
• Reduced engine power
• Difficulty starting the engine
• Increased toxicity of exhaust gases

Causes

• Open or short circuit in air support system wiring
• Faulty injector air support control valve
• Oxidation or corrosion of connector contacts
• Engine ECU malfunction
• Low voltage on-board network
• Mechanical damage to air lines
• Clogged air channels of the system

How to Fix

1. Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all error codes
2. Check the on-board voltage and battery condition
3. Visually inspect the wiring of the injector air support system
4. Check the integrity of the injection system fuses
5. Measure the resistance and voltage at the air support valve connectors
6. Check the condition of connectors and contacts, clean if necessary
7. Test the operation of the air support control valve
8. Check the tightness of the system air lines
9. If necessary, replace faulty components
10. Clear error codes and test drive to see if the problem is resolved
