Causes
- Malfunction of one of the pressure sensors
- Dirty or clogged pressure tubes
- Problems with the wiring harness to the sensors
- Corrosion or poor electrical contact
- Malfunction of the turbocharger itself
- Mechanical damage to tubes or sensors
How to Fix
- Carry out diagnostics with a scanner to view the readings of both sensors in real time
- Visually inspect sensors, tubes and electrical connections for damage
- Check the continuity and voltage in the sensor wiring harness
- Clean or blow out pressure tubes
- Replace faulty pressure sensor
- Clean electrical contacts and terminals
