Causes
- Break in the primary winding of the ignition coil J
- Wire break in coil J wiring harness
- Corrosion or poor contact in the connector
- Blown ignition circuit fuse
- ECU control channel malfunction
How to Fix
- Read error codes, record freeze frame
- Inspect coil J and its connector for visible damage.
- Measure the resistance of the primary winding - open when reading OL/∞
- Check the presence of power (+12V) at the coil connector with the ignition on
- Check the wiring from the coil connector to the ECU for breaks
- Replace the ignition coil J or a piece of damaged wiring
