Causes
- Open or short circuit in control circuit wiring harness
- Faulty ignition coil
- Poor contact in coil or ECU connectors
- Problems with power or ground of the ignition coil
- Engine ECU malfunction
- Contact corrosion
- Damage to wire insulation
How to Fix
- Check the condition of the control circuit wiring harness for damage.
- Check the ignition coil and ECU connectors for oxidation and connection reliability.
- Measure the resistance of the ignition coil
- Check the power and ground of the ignition coil
- If necessary, replace the ignition coil
- If the problem persists, you can check the ECU output signal with an oscilloscope
- As a last resort, replace the engine ECU
