Symptoms

• Check Engine light on
• Engine vibration, especially at medium speeds
• Misfire in cylinder 6
• Reduced engine power and thrust
• Increased fuel consumption

Causes

• Low compression in cylinder 6 (wear of rings, valves)
• Clogged fuel injector of cylinder 6
• Bad spark plug or coil
• Stuck or burnt valves
• Pressure sensor malfunction (false low reading)

How to Fix

1. Carry out a compression test on cylinder 6 and compare with the norm
2. Check the spark plug and coil of cylinder 6
3. Perform injector balance test - check cylinder 6 injector
4. If compression is low, perform a cylinder leak-down test.
5. Check the pressure sensor of cylinder 6 for accuracy of readings
6. Eliminate the cause and reset error codes
