- Unstable operation of the hydraulic booster
Causes
- Malfunction of the hydraulic booster pressure sensor
- Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
- Poor contact in the sensor connector
- Low power steering fluid level
- Corrosion of contacts or wiring
How to Fix
- Check the power steering fluid level
- Visually inspect the sensor wiring and connectors
- Check the voltage and resistance of the sensor with a multimeter
- Replace the power steering pressure sensor if necessary
- Clean or replace damaged wires
