Causes
- Short circuit of the sensor signal wire to ground
- Sensor power wire break
- Internal sensor malfunction (short to housing)
- Corrosion or contamination of the sensor connector
- Open circuit between sensor and ECU
How to Fix
- Read all error codes and document
- Visually inspect the wiring and connector of the section B sensor
- Disconnect the connector and check the sensor supply voltage (usually 5 V)
- Check the signal wire for a short circuit to ground (resistance to the body should be infinite)
- Replace sensor if wiring is normal
- Reset the error and check the system operation
