Causes
- Control wire shorted to ground (contact with body)
- Frayed insulation of the harness at the points of attachment or passage

- Internal short circuit of the actuator winding to the housing
- Damage to the connector with the contact pulled to ground
How to Fix
- Read codes and record conditions of appearance (constant or intermittent)
- Disconnect the actuator connector, measure the resistance of the control wire to ground (should be infinite)
- Check the entire length of the harness - especially carefully at the points of fastening with clamps and passage through the panels
- Conduct a visual inspection of the connector for corrosion and moisture.
- Replace or re-insulate the damaged section of wiring
- After repair, reset codes and perform verification test
