Symptoms

• The SRS indicator is on (does not go out)
• Visible traces of airbag deployment (deployed airbags, traces of powder)
• Belt pretensioners locked
• SRS system is completely locked until recovery
• Possible mechanical damage to the car

Causes

• Road traffic accident exceeding the trigger threshold
• Severe collision (frontal, side, rollover)
• In rare cases - incorrect operation due to a malfunction of the SRS module
• A shock detected by shock sensors above a threshold value

How to Fix

1. Contact an official service center to assess the state of the security system
2. Replace all deployed airbags
3. Replace all deployed seat belt pretensioners
4. Check and replace the SRS module if necessary (in many cases it also requires replacement)
5. Check all impact sensors and seat belts
6. Reprogram/replace the SRS module according to the manufacturer's procedure
7. After a complete recovery, check the entire system
