How to Fix
- Read the codes, check the error conditions (constant or intermittent)
- Clean the switch connector contacts with contact spray.
- Measure the resistance of the switch in both positions - compare with the standard (usually <1 Ohm and >1 MOhm)
- Check the voltage on the signal wire with the switch pressed and released
- If the readings are unstable, replace the switch
- Reset the error and check the system operation after repair
