Symptoms

Causes

• Clogged damper mechanism (ice, dirt, foreign objects)
• Damper motor fault C
• Open circuit or short circuit in the damper control wiring
• Damper position sensor malfunction
• Mechanical damage to blind blades

How to Fix

1. Inspect the radiator grille dampers for blockages, ice, or foreign objects.
2. Try to manually move damper C (with the drive switched off)
3. Check the electric damper drive: power supply and control signal
4. Activate the damper using a diagnostic scanner
5. Check the wiring and connector of the damper actuator C
6. Replace the damper actuator or mechanism if the fault is confirmed
