Causes
- Open or short circuit in channel B VSS output signal circuit

- Malfunction of the device receiving the channel B signal
- Poor contact in the ECU ground circuit
How to Fix
- Determine from the diagram which systems use VSS channel B on this vehicle
- Read error codes from all control units
- Check channel B VSS circuit wiring and connectors
- Measure the ECU output signal with an oscilloscope at the corresponding terminal
- Eliminate detected breaks or short circuits in the wiring
- If the external circuit is working properly - ECU diagnostics
