Causes

Internal error in ECT signal processing in the ECU
Malfunction of the ADC in the temperature sensor circuit
Actual ECT sensor malfunction (indirect cause)
Unstable power supply to the ECU
ECU firmware software failure

How to Fix

Check for additional codes P0115–P0119 (ECT sensor errors)
Measure the resistance and voltage of the ECT sensor signal
Check the wiring and connector of the ECT sensor
Reset the error and check for recurrence after the engine warms up
Check for ECU firmware updates from the manufacturer
If the sensor is working - ECU diagnostics
