Symptoms

  • Unstable engine operation after restart
  • Failures in adaptive control systems
  • Possible ECU memory errors

Causes

  • ECU power relay malfunction (premature shutdown)
  • Unstable ECU supply voltage
  • Damage to the ECU power supply wiring
  • Weak battery
  • Internal ECU fault

How to Fix

  1. Read OBD-II codes and record all errors
  2. Check battery and generator voltage
  3. Check the ECU power relay and its control circuit
  4. Monitor the ECU supply voltage after turning off the ignition with an oscilloscope
  5. Inspect wiring and connectors for damage
  6. If the external circuits are in good condition - diagnostics and replacement of the ECU
