Causes

  • Faulty ECU power relay (stuck when on)
  • The ECU does not send a command to turn off the relay
  • Malfunction in the relay control circuit
  • Wiring damage
  • Internal ECU fault

How to Fix

  1. Read OBD-II codes and record all errors
  2. Measure current consumption after turning off the ignition
  3. Check the ECU power relay for stuck on state
  4. Check the relay control circuit and the control signal from the ECU
  5. Inspect the wiring and connectors
  6. If the malfunction is confirmed, replace the relay or ECU
