Symptoms

  • The Check Engine light comes on
  • Multiple sensor error codes simultaneously
  • Unstable engine operation
  • Incorrect position sensor readings
  • Switching to emergency engine operation mode

Causes

  • Short circuit to ground in the circuit of one of the sensors of group C
  • Open 5V reference wire on circuit C
  • Sensor fault with internal short circuit
  • Damage to the wiring between the ECU and sensors
  • Internal ECU fault

How to Fix

  1. Read all OBD-II error codes and write down each one
  2. Determine which sensors are connected to the reference voltage circuit C according to the diagram
  3. Measure the reference voltage at each sensor in this circuit (standard: 5 V)
  4. Disconnect sensors one at a time and check for voltage recovery
  5. Find and eliminate short circuit to ground (replace damaged sensor or wiring)
  6. If the external circuits are in good condition - diagnostics and replacement of the ECU
