Symptoms
- The Check Engine light comes on
- Multiple sensor error codes simultaneously
- Unstable engine operation
- Incorrect position sensor readings
- Switching to emergency engine operation mode
Causes
- Short circuit to ground in the circuit of one of the sensors of group C
- Open 5V reference wire on circuit C
- Sensor fault with internal short circuit
- Damage to the wiring between the ECU and sensors
- Internal ECU fault
How to Fix
- Read all OBD-II error codes and write down each one
- Determine which sensors are connected to the reference voltage circuit C according to the diagram
- Measure the reference voltage at each sensor in this circuit (standard: 5 V)
- Disconnect sensors one at a time and check for voltage recovery
- Find and eliminate short circuit to ground (replace damaged sensor or wiring)
- If the external circuits are in good condition - diagnostics and replacement of the ECU
