P06B1
Sensor Power Supply A Circuit Low
Severity
🔴 HighCan you drive?
Do not drive — repair immediately
Approx. repair cost
$6–56 (est.)
Symptoms
- Check Engine Light Is On
- Low readings from group A sensors
- Unstable engine operation
- Many associated sensor errors
- The engine may go into emergency mode
Causes
- Short to ground in the circuit of one of the sensors of group A
- Faulty sensor with breakdown to ground
- Damage to the wiring harness (chaining to body weight)
- Moisture ingress causing current leakage
- High contact resistance in the power connector
How to Fix
- Read error codes, identify sensors of group A according to the diagram
- Measure the voltage on the power line (if P06B1 will be below normal)
- Disconnect sensors one at a time - when voltage is restored, the culprit is found
- Check the resistance between the power supply and ground of the disconnected sensor
- Replace the faulty sensor or repair the short in the wiring
- Reset codes and make sure voltage level is normal
