Do not drive — repair immediately
Approx. repair cost
$6–56 (est.)

Symptoms

  • Check Engine Light Is On
  • Low readings from group A sensors
  • Unstable engine operation
  • Many associated sensor errors
  • The engine may go into emergency mode

Causes

  • Short to ground in the circuit of one of the sensors of group A
  • Faulty sensor with breakdown to ground
  • Damage to the wiring harness (chaining to body weight)
  • Moisture ingress causing current leakage
  • High contact resistance in the power connector

How to Fix

  1. Read error codes, identify sensors of group A according to the diagram
  2. Measure the voltage on the power line (if P06B1 will be below normal)
  3. Disconnect sensors one at a time - when voltage is restored, the culprit is found
  4. Check the resistance between the power supply and ground of the disconnected sensor
  5. Replace the faulty sensor or repair the short in the wiring
  6. Reset codes and make sure voltage level is normal
