Symptoms
- Check Engine Light Is On
- Reduced engine power and thrust
- Increased fuel consumption
- Possible detonation in individual cylinders at high loads
- The ECU operates with a retarded ignition angle for safety
Causes
- Internal malfunction of the processor 2 knock sensor in the ECU
- Damage to the ECU from overheating, moisture or electrical discharge
- Software error in the detonation signal processing algorithm
- Malfunction of the knock sensor connected to processor 2
- Damage to the knock sensor wiring (second channel)
How to Fix
- Read error codes, check knock sensor codes P0325–P0334 for channel 2
- Check the functionality of the knock sensor of the second channel and its wiring
- Perform a full diagnostic of the ECU using an advanced scanner
- Try updating the ECU firmware if there is an official update
- If an internal malfunction is confirmed, repair or replace the ECU
- Reset codes, perform a load test in various modes
