Causes
- Short circuit of the heating element of the cylinder 12 spark plug
- Damage to the insulation of the spark plug power wire
- Moisture getting into the spark plug socket
- Contact corrosion causing short circuit
- Control module power switch malfunction
How to Fix
- Disconnect glow plug for cylinder 12
- Measure the resistance of the wire between the connector and ground (should be infinite)
- Check the resistance of the spark plug with an ohmmeter (short circuit - resistance is close to zero)
- Replace the spark plug if there is an internal short circuit.
- Restore wiring if there is a short circuit
- Check the power switches of the spark plug control module
