Symptoms

• Check Engine light on

Causes

• NOx sensor processor internal fault
• NOx sensor overheating due to improper installation or heater failure
• Moisture or dirt entering the sensor housing
• Violation of data exchange via CAN bus
• Damage to the connector or wiring of the NOx sensor

How to Fix

1. Read all error codes and check for CAN bus errors
2. Check the wiring and connector of NOx sensor bank 1 sensor 1
3. Make sure the sensor is installed correctly and there is no mechanical damage
4. Check the power supply and grounding of the sensor
5. Regenerate the sensor (if provided by the manufacturer)
6. Replace NOx sensor if internal fault is confirmed
