Symptoms

• Check Engine light on
• The SCR/AdBlue system does not work correctly
• Increased or decreased consumption of AdBlue reagent
• Emission control system indicator
• Possible power limitation mode in case of long-term fault

Causes

• NOx Sensor 2 Processor Internal Failure
• Poisoning of the sensor sensing element with sulfur or silicon
• Damage to the sensor housing or its heater
• Lost communication via CAN bus
• Damage to the sensor connector or wiring

How to Fix

1. Read codes and check CAN bus errors
2. Visually inspect the NOx 2 sensor for mechanical damage
3. Check the supply voltage and integrity of the sensor wiring
4. Check the quality of the fuel and AdBlue reagent used
5. Conduct diagnostics of the sensor itself using specialized equipment
6. Replace NOx sensor if internal fault is confirmed
