Causes

Solenoid A jammed
Open or short circuit in solenoid control circuit
Low transmission fluid level
Contaminated transmission fluid
Transmission control module (TCM) malfunction

How to Fix

Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid
Check the resistance of solenoid A
Check the solenoid control circuit for open circuit and short circuit.
Clean or replace solenoid A
If necessary, replace transmission fluid and filter
