Causes

  • Open or short circuit in solenoid circuit
  • Malfunction of the shift solenoid itself
  • Connector problems or contact corrosion
  • Transmission control module (TCM) malfunction
  • Broken or damaged wiring harness

How to Fix

  1. Check the condition of the solenoid connectors and contacts
  2. Check the integrity of the wires and power circuit
  3. Measure the solenoid resistance (compare with the reference value)
  4. If necessary, replace the faulty solenoid
