Causes

Short circuit in actuator circuit
Broken or damaged wiring harness
Reverse solenoid valve malfunction
Transmission control module (TCM) problems
Corrosion of contacts in connectors

How to Fix

Check the integrity of the wiring harness to the actuator
Measure the resistance of the actuator circuit
Check the voltage at the actuator connectors
Replace faulty solenoid valve
Scan the TCM for errors
