Symptoms

• Check Engine light comes on
• The gearbox goes into emergency mode

Causes

• Solenoid C control circuit open
• Poor contact in solenoid connectors
• Shift solenoid C malfunction
• Wiring harness damage
• Transmission control module (TCM) problems

How to Fix

1. Check continuity of solenoid C control circuit
2. Inspect the solenoid connectors and contacts for corrosion or damage.
3. Check the resistance of solenoid C (compare with the norm)
4. Replace shift solenoid C if necessary.
5. Check the operation of the gearbox after repair
