- The car may go into emergency gearbox mode
Causes
- Faulty kick down switch
- Open or short circuit in the switch circuit
- Poor contact in connectors
- Wiring harness damage
- Transmission ECU malfunction
How to Fix
- Check the condition of the kick-down switch
- Check the integrity of the wiring and connectors in the circuit
- Test the resistance of the switch
- Check the presence of power and grounding in the circuit
- If necessary, replace the kick-down switch
