Symptoms

• Incorrect fuel level readings on the dashboard
• Fuel gauge fluctuates or does not move
• The low fuel indicator comes on when the tank is full
• Fuel level error on display
• Inability to determine the exact fuel level

Causes

• Fuel level sensor B malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Corrosion or poor contact in connectors
• Problems with the fuel pump or module
• ECU malfunction

How to Fix

1. Check the continuity of the fuel level sensor B circuit
2. Inspect connectors and contacts for corrosion or damage
3. Check resistance of fuel level sensor B
4. Replace fuel level sensor B if necessary
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump or module
