Symptoms

  • Unstable engine operation when PTO is on

Causes

  • Open or short circuit in PTO 2 sensor circuit
  • Poor contact in the sensor connector
  • Malfunction of the speed selector sensor itself
  • Wiring Harness Problems
  • Engine control unit malfunction

How to Fix

  1. Check the integrity of the wiring to the PTO 2 sensor
  2. Inspect and clean the contacts in the sensor connector
  3. Check the sensor resistance (compare with the norm)
  4. If necessary, replace the PTO 2 speed selector sensor
  5. Check the operation of the system after repair
