Symptoms

• Incorrect gear shifting

Causes

• Actuator position sensor malfunction
• Open or short circuit in the sensor circuit
• Poor contact in sensor connectors
• Shift actuator malfunction
• Transmission ECU problems

How to Fix

1. Check the continuity of the actuator position sensor circuit
2. Inspect the sensor connectors for oxidation or damage.
3. Check the resistance of the actuator position sensor
4. Replace the actuator position sensor if necessary
5. Check and, if necessary, replace the gear shift actuator
