Symptoms

• The ESP/ABS indicator on the dashboard is on
• Disabling the stabilization system

Causes

• Faulty speed sensor
• Damage to the wiring harness to the sensor
• Short circuit or open circuit in the sensor circuit
• Problems with power supply or sensor ground
• Mechanical damage to the sensor (shock, vibration)

1. Diagnostics using a scanner to confirm the code
2. Visual inspection of the sensor wiring harness and connectors
3. Checking the resistance and continuity of the sensor circuit
