Causes
- Open or short circuit in the wiring of the fuel shut-off valve
- Poor contact in valve connector
- Fuel cut-off valve A malfunction
- Wiring harness damage
- Contact corrosion
- Engine control module (ECM) malfunction
- Low voltage in the on-board network
How to Fix
- Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all error codes
- Check battery and generator voltage
- Visually inspect the fuel shutoff valve wiring for damage.
- Check the resistance of fuel shut-off valve A with a multimeter
- Check the integrity of the wiring from the ECM to the valve
- Clean and check valve connector contacts
- If necessary, replace damaged wiring
- Replace the fuel shut-off valve if it is faulty
- Clear error codes and test drive
