Symptoms

Causes

  • Damage to wiring harness due to high temperature

How to Fix

  1. Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all error codes
  2. Check the voltage in the oxygen sensor heater circuit with a multimeter
  3. Inspect wiring and connectors for damage
  4. Measure the resistance of the sensor heating element
  5. If necessary, replace damaged wiring
  6. Replace the oxygen sensor if it is faulty
  7. Clear error codes and test drive
  8. Re-check for errors in the ECU memory
