Symptoms

Causes

• Problems with wiring harness or contacts
• Malfunction of the engine control unit (ECU)
• Low oil pressure or contaminated oil

How to Fix

1. Check the level and condition of the engine oil
2. Visually inspect the wiring harness and solenoid connectors
3. Check the solenoid resistance with a multimeter
4. Check voltage and continuity of control circuit
5. If necessary, replace the solenoid or repair the wiring harness.
6. Clear the error code and check if it returns
