Causes
- Faulty exhaust valve control solenoid
- Short circuit in solenoid wiring

- Faulty solenoid connector
- Dirty or clogged solenoid
- Engine ECU malfunction
- Low engine oil pressure
How to Fix
- Connect the OBD scanner and read all error codes
- Check the level and quality of engine oil
- Visually inspect the solenoid wiring for damage.
- Check the solenoid supply voltage with a multimeter
- Measure the solenoid resistance (should be within specification)
- Clean the solenoid connectors from oxidation and dirt.
- Replace exhaust valve control solenoid if necessary
- Check and, if necessary, repair wiring
- Clear error codes and test drive
