Symptoms

• Difficulty starting the engine or no starting
• Dips and power losses under load
• Stopping the engine while moving
• Low fuel pressure
• Check Engine Light Illuminates

Causes

• Fuel pump motor wear
• Faulty fuel pump relay
• Poor contact in the pump connector
• Fuel filter clogged (increased resistance)
• Damage to the pump wiring harness
• Low battery or power problems

How to Fix

1. Read error codes and check data in case of failure
2. Check the supply voltage at the fuel pump connector
3. Check the fuel pump relay (replace with a known working one)
4. Measure the fuel pressure with a pressure gauge
5. Replace the fuel filter (with mileage over 30,000 km)
6. If the malfunction is confirmed, replace the fuel pump
